Climate in the Arctic Circle

The coldest day of winter, between -35 C and -45 C, normally occurs at the end of January. Northern Finland rarely sees above freezing temperatures until March. Even then, cold weather can persist until May.

Climate hange means that temperatures are on the rise everywhere. If anything, however, this strengthens the credentials of Finnish Lapland as the ideal cold climate testing venue in Europe.
